Security

Keeping SocialMate and its visitors safe is a priority.

How we protect you

• The whole site is served over HTTPS.
• No account, no password and no payment details are ever needed to use SocialMate.
• We never ask you to install apps, browser extensions or software to download a video.
• Download links are random and expire automatically.
• Usage limits help protect the service from abuse and automated attacks.

Stay safe

• Only download from socialmateofficial.com. Be careful with copycat sites and pop-ups asking you to install something.
• Real video files end in .mp4, .mp3 or .m4a. Never open a file that ends in .exe, .apk or .bat that claims to be a video.
• Ads are shown by third parties. We do not offer software downloads through ads.

Report a security issue

If you find a vulnerability, please email contact@socialmateofficial.com with the subject Security and enough detail for us to reproduce it. Please give us reasonable time to fix the issue before sharing it publicly. We do not run a paid bug bounty.
